With a career spanning decades in high-level music production, John Lucasey is a leading authority in concert sound design, studio architecture, and audio production. As Director of Audio Production for Walmart’s Soundcheckconcert series, John oversaw and mixed over 100 live productions, featuring Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, Keith Urban, and Faith Hill, among many others.
John is also the founder of Studio 880, Northern California’s largest music production facility, where he recorded and mixed Grammy-winning artists, including Green Day, The Killers, The Black Keys, and Robert Cray. His expertise extends to sound system installations for live events, recording studio design, and music production consulting.
Currently, John is the Sound System Design Engineer for The City of San Francisco’s new Union Square Concert Series and continues to consult on high-profile concert audio, studio builds, and music business education.
